Ian Tyrer Award
Ian Tyrer Award 2005 - Tony Smith The 2005 Ian Tyrer Award was awarded to Tony Smith of Plantagenet Wines and Bouverie Estate. In 2003 Ian Tyrer received the George Mulgure Award for outstanding service to the wine industry and later that year died of cancer. Therefore it was felt that an award in Ian Tyrer’s name to help reward and recognised people who also promoted Mount Barker be awarded at the Mount Barker Winter Dinner.
