Ian Tyrer lost his battle with cancer. At his funeral his wife Linda and daughter Kim set up a fund for the Plantagenet Hospital to raise money to buy an ultrasound machine. During Ian’s illness he had to travel 100kms for this treatment, a painful inconvenience especially late into his illness. The target was $25,000. But due to the generosity of his friends and colleagues a total of $47,333.20 has been raised to date. The ultra sound has purchased and already put to good use. So far over $41,000 has been spent on the following equipment-
