Ok... so we are all hearing the doom and gloom in the wine industry. And I am getting bombarded with people asking me about it, wanting to know my comments. But is it all bad....NO!!!
Here at Galafrey we just had a beautiful baby boy who has experienced his first vintage. That's the third generation winemaker to be at Galafrey.
During vintage we brought grapes!!! Yes that's right...we paid good money for extra grapes...shock horror! and what are we doing....a beautiful wild ferment wooded Chardonnay......yes thats right....CHARDONNAY! We also doubled our production of Sauvignon Blanc Semillon.... you heard right.....thats a 100% increase. We also brought in some Tempranillo ...OMG thats a new wine for us! But how exciting making it! and we also brought some fantastic and I mean fantastic Point Noir which is also a wild ferment style. And then there's the everyday stuff...our award winning Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon! You know that stuff we're famous for.
So really how bad is it!
