Bottling 1000 cases for China

If we ever sold a container of wine we’d celebrate with a bottle of French champagne?

I am not sure how long this bet has been on the table- I suspect before the presence of Dan Murphy’s, the high Aussie dollar and the available of French Champers at $50!! However it still stands because we have never sold a container of wine before…………until now!!

To be honest- mum and I have celebrated a few events with French champagne. There have been many milestones and goals kicked in what can only described as difficult times. However you should have seen mum and me shopping for a special bottle to celebrate!! The options were endless and the decision was never made. Even Grange got a mention! But we are yet to purchase that special bottle to celebrate!

The last two weeks we have been busy bottling and preparing for our big China order. Of course the bottling machine decided to have a small breakdown but that is normal. It is all very exciting all the same and when the truck comes to pick the wine up sure enough we will be doing high fives, having big smiles on our faces and head straight for the verandah and a glass of something special with bubbles.

In the meantime some photos of the bottling.

The first one was of the bottles on the bottle washer.
