Some Pre Vintage Photo's

With Vintage approaching fast we are often found cruising around the vineyard checking out the grapes. Of course i can't help myself but take my phone and take lots of pictures.

Vineyard manager tasting the grapes already. Bit acidic yet for me to try them. Brave man I say!

Our Chardonnay Grapes- they are chick and hen clone which means they have small berries and large berries on the bunch. The large berries are the ripe full flavours and the small berries are the pocket rocket of flavour and acidity. Essentially this clone is like blending wine but on the grape vine.

This particular day was building up to tunder storm weather. No real thunderstorms but humid, cloud build up and humity.

This is our Shiraz going through veraison which is amazing. Once grapes go through veraison you are looking at approx 4 weeks until picking them. At this rate Vinatge will be over by end of March. I am predicting a quick vinatge this year.

and if it wasn't enough to do a vineyard tour at our place, we decided to visit a friends vineyard and have a look at their progress. This photo is of their Guinea Fowl they are raising. Great for the vineyard. Would love some myself.....
