Sunday Morning and Shirazamatazz....

What did you do this Sunday morning? Morning walk, brunch with friends, read the newspaper? We were up and expecting the vineyard after a couple of days with rain. We had just over 2 inches of rain and the weather was miserable. It was making me nervous about the ability to ripen our reds and the pressure from birds. But so far, so good and I just really wanted to share the photos with you. Be warned....there is a lot of grapes pictures in the post. I couldn't help myself

This is from our Young Shiraz block. The vines are 15 years old and spur pruned. Lots of big heavy bunches of Shiraz, all dry grown.

Close up of Shiraz Bunch.

Lovely rich colours. Should translate well into the bottle!

Nigel Rowe out in the Other Young Shiraz Block getting samples for the lab.

Nigel and little helper cruching the samples to get the grape juice out and do test with.
