The Winefront Gary Walsh reviews Galafrey Wines 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon.

Galafrey Dry Grown Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

By Gary Walsh www.winefront.com.au

Posted on 14 January 2016.

Planted in 1977, the same time Tom Baker was in the middle of being the best Doctor Who ever (1974-1981). Jelly baby?

Rich blackberry, creamy vanilla oak, a little black olive and dried herb, aniseed and truffle. Medium to full bodied, sweet up take of red and black fruit and dark chocolate, well pitched acidity and a lovely spread of open knit tannin. Finish is good too. Charming wine. Should age beautifully too.
